Talking So what's next!

So, as posted, I booted and installed XP. However, I still have a bit to go, so, last night I:

1) Finished installing my drivers, including Net, direct X, etc.

2) I also uploaded Zonealarm as my firewall, disabled Norton, loaded Spybot from the Microsoft site, go fig! Later, I'm going to buy the full version of Zone alarm.

3) Then installed the remaining hard drives, my sata controller (for two of the hard drives, which are going to be raided on a JBOD), my sound card, the PATA Optical drive (used a rounded IDE cable) and my tv tuner.

4) Connected my 7n1 card reader with floppy, my front panel controller.

5) Tried to make sure the wiring was neat (used colored zip ties) and didn't look like it would tangle in any fans or impeded airflow too much.

6) Double checked that I connected all my fans, tied those off as well. Made sure that every thing was connected to power, the mobo, etc.

Then went to bed. Tonight, I start configuring all the above and connect my wireless keyboard and mouse.

This should take me a couple of days.

But, it still booted

Yea Me!

Don't forget Windows Updates and, if you install MS Office, Office Updates too.

Don't forget to do up-dates on XP/anti-virus/ant-spyware/check for up-dates on hardware drivers/programs,etc.
Then have fun with the system.
