Specs:
ASUS M2NPV-VM Motherboard AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ (Windsor) CPU MAXTOR 250GB 7V250F0 Hard Drive MAXTOR 300GB 7V300F0 Hard Drive MEMOREX DUAL 4X/DVD+R DOUBLE LAYER Burner ANTEC TPII430 TRUEPOWER Power Supply Corsair TWIN2X2048-6400C4 2GB Kit DDR2-800 XMS2-6400 Xtreme Performance Memory I've been trying to install Windows 64 bit and haven't been able to use it for too long before it freezes up. Then it starts freezing up randomly before it can even get into windows. My question is what steps do I need to take to get this working? Someone suggested just installing the 32 bit version of windows. What is the point of Windows 64 bit then?? Anyone able to install it successfully? What specific hardware conflicts/issues could there be looking at my system? How can I update the BIOS properly? |

64bit is immature and so are the manufacturer's drivers for it. The suggestion for 32bit widows is correct.
If anything go 64bit when Vista comes out.
