Need help with Crucial steps: Connecting CASE, PSU, MOBO
Do I connect both the 20 and 4 pins to the Mobo main?
my second problem is I'm unsure which 1x4 to connect to mobo; and there are two connector's labeled cpu1 and cpu2 from psu-I assume these to be the 12v core voltage power supply cables that connect into the 2x4 slot on mobo, but unsure which goes on which side?---help please... Which exact PSU do you have? That might help us give specifics.
There should be a square 4 pin connector that connects (kinda "hooks" onto) the 20 pin part. It's wires should be "bundled" with the 20 pin's. This plugs into the 24 pin plug on the board. The CPU1/CPU2 connectors probably hook together in the same fasion. That plugs into the 2x4 plug you mentioned (upper left of the board). If you could let us know what exact model you have, we should be able to look at a picture and see what cables there are.

I think I figured it out-they only fit in one particular config...and I have:
Bad Axe mobo revision 305 OCZ gamerxtreme 700 watt and Cooler master 'Mystique' with side panel window... I am now connecting all the little case wires to the mobo...this is hell...most I'm sure I've placed correctly, but a few I'm not too sure about... |
