New build needs help

OK I have completed the out of case build with every configuration that can be done with the graphics card and monitor conection. The first build I did with this motherboard would not start because the power suply would only run with 220v so i replaced that and now the fans on the CPU graphics cars and power supply run. The problem is that the monitor recieves no signal.
The speekers make no sounds at all.

I am using an ecs p965t-a (witch i just heard too late that was poor quality)
Corsairxms2 ddr 800 2x1gb
xfx geoforce 6800 xt
Intel core 2 duo 2.13

I know all the other components work. The questions i would like to pose are these:

Are there any compatability problems with any of these components.?
Are their any ways I can get this to work?
Do I need to get a plug and play graphics card to get this to work?
Are any of these components just bad judging by what happpend when I started it?
Are there any things I should know before I go on?

After finding out that the mobo was poorly recieved by most I plan to replace it with a gigabyte mobo ga-965p ds3.

I can replace any of these components so I would like to know which ones to just get a new one of the same model and which one to replace with diferent models.

Plus I want to make sure that what i do replace is compatable with the rest.

How do you know all the other components work? Did you test them in another computer?

You might want to find out if that Intel chipset is having issues with that Corsair RAM.

You've already done the out-of-case-troubleshooter so you know something isn't working. Now it's a matter of finding out which part may be DOA.

That video card is already Plug-N-Play.

The ECS motherboard may be DOA.

It's possible the old power supply fried some of the components when you had it hooked up earlier. Sounds like there was a big problem with it and it may have sent unregulated power to the system.

Replace the ECS as soon as you can.

I'd replace the XFX video card with a eVGA.

Check on the Corsair RAM and make sure it doesn't have issues with the 965 chipset.
