What goes in order?

okay i have a question that has bothered me for the longest. My question is, What order do u go in when building a computer. Do u look for the case your going to be using so that u make sure the motherboard,powersupply will fit or do u find the parts first then look for a case etc. I'm just using them as an example, Im looking for the complete list you should go in.

Start with the processor and motherboard. Next would be RAM, drives and addon cards. Then Power supply that will handle all of the hardware. Case would be last.

As long as the case and motherboard are the same form factor (ATX, micro-ATX, BTX, WTX, etc...) there shouldn't be any problem getting the motherboard to fit into the case.

I think most of us start with the CPU, motherboard and power supply first. Then follow with the video card, RAM, hard drive, optical drive and the case.
