splat My Pc Is Constantly Crashing Help!

okay guys its been nearly 4 months now with my custom build pc, however now i am running i have had no problems till now after a reformat and a new router that im not getting problems.

about 2 weeks ago i reformatted my pc becuase i've had some virusis and just wanted to start fresh, so i go and reformat my hd, instal xp and install the following drivers:
-ver. 6.86 Chipset
-ver. 91.47 Video
-Audio
-Network(marvel lan and nvidia drivers)

I also ensured all my power plug are in.

just the essentials, becuase last time i had a lot of uneeded garbage like ntune, aibooster, win dvd suite etc. so i have installed the drivers correctally, and everthing goes smooth until i begin playing a game, for example i was playing hitman, and when the level loads up, my pc reboots, when i play cs, when i run, i will teleport back, like il move foward a be sent right back, its not lag becuse my ping is 57, also when i try to enter a sever and when i start to send my client info, my pc resatrts/again.

Every time i recover from the crash, ill report the error and window will say something like 'system crash caused by a driver.' each time it has said this i ensure that all the drivers i need are installed correctly, what is causing this problem! is a hardware problem i need to replace? or just software/driver conflicts. the reason i built this pc is becuase to play games, but i cant now.
PLEASE HELP ME IT MAKES ME WANT TO TROW MY PC OUT OF THE WINDOW.

I'm guessing the set up in your sig?

If you have done any overclocking then revert back to stock.

Try the video card drivers that came with the card. You need to uninstall the current drivers first then reinstall the one from the cd.

what kind of temps are you getting on your video card and cpu?

Did that solve your problem?

On a side note, whenever you install the OS, programs, drivers, fixes, etc...you should set the computer to the stock speed and overclock it only after all the software has been installed.

If it's only doing it in games, I would suspect heat or your PSU. Have you blown out the PC with compressed air lately? Make sure you blow out the heatsink on the CPU and the fans/heatsinks on your vid cards as well. The idle temp on the one card is a little high, especially for an NVIDIA. You could also try running with your case side off and a fan blowing on the PC....if it functions fine you'll know it's a heat issue.

If those things don't work, I'd suspect a weak/failing PSU. That unit should still be under warranty from Antec, so you may need to RMA it.

Edit: mistaken identity, was reading the wrong sig.

Have you tried running Memtest 86? with 4 sticks of RAM, your chances of having a bad stick are fairly high =P Worth a shot eh? Run Memtest for awhile, see if it turns up any errors.

Run Memtest86 to test your ram. Best to run overnight.

Go to your hard drive manufacturers website and get the diagnostic tools for your drive.

Post back with results.

im talking about checking for game updates & patches NOT hardware driver updates. i have seen people bring me pcs that have the same problems yours did with crashing during game play, i checked the game developers website and they had some patches available for download, after installing them, his system didnt crash during gameplay anymore

all you have to do is download, burn the .iso image and boot to the disc in the cd drive. after burning the .iso image reboot your machine and make sure your cd drive is first in the boot sequence order in the bios, and thats all you have to do the disc will do the rest, if there are any errors, they will show up in red. if you see any errors then you just have to determine which stick is bad. i can't remember if there is a way to tell on that program which stick is bad. if not you can pull out one memory stick and scan them each individually to determine which stick is bad.

read the usage section
http://www.memtest86.com/#commands

. NEVER try to troubleshoot until you remove any overclocking. The oc could be the cause of the instability. Once you do achieve stability and you decide to oc again, stability needs to be tested with a program like Prime95 that fully loads the system and checks both cpu and memory stability. If you've oc'd your vid card, that won't be tested with Prime. Check your vid card settings closely and make sure they aren't oc'd.

Go into the bios and go to the page that shows the voltages and post them.

So you've tried resetting everything in the bios and still nothing? Could it be a faulty video card, many EVGA 7900gt cards have been having problems with lag. Try just one video card, one at a time.
