new build with problem
amd 3800 x2
asus m2m crorsair 1g i got my computer running great but ,when i go to start my computer or restart it just freezes on the window xp logo. But sometime it will boot all the way up but thats like 1 out of 50 try. What could be causing this? |

It's not overclocked at all I presume, it most likely wouldn't be an overheating processor because it would just shut off, and would be sooner.
When the computer is booting up, press F8 until you can choose to boot up in safe mode and see if it boots in safe mode. |

well i use the over clocking program, i think that was the problem its freeze on me when i did it and i try to reinstall windows but its the same problem what should i do

i cnat go in safe mode it does the same thing

Hmm, well. I really doubt this, but maybe your PSU is already pumping too much and craps out when it tries to spin up the hdd to start windows. I really doubt it, some moderators would probably be able to help you out more than I can.

FULL specs, please. Clear the CMOS with the jumper and reset the bios to factory defaults to get rid of any overclocking.

You didn't mention the type and brand of ram your using. AM2 systems are very picky on the ram they use. Go to the Asus web site and check the certified ram list(QVL) for that mobo.
