Hi,
Undoubtedly a stupid newbie question but do I place washers under the heads of the screws when mounting a motherboard ? Yes, I'm using spacers but need to know if I need to place washers on the holes of the motherboard before using the screws (to prevent electrical shorts) ? I've attached 2 photos of one of the holes on the MB and also the washers. If it makes any difference it's an Abit NF7-S2. Thanks very much for your time. Daniel

You shouldn't need any washers. The case you are using should have come with the appropriate screws to use.
If you have any doubt, refer to the motherboard manual. It'll instruct you to attach standoffs to the chassis and then screw the motherboard to the standoffs.
