pwr/reset sw

I have an antec sonata case and a msi 945 p mobo. the case instructions say to install the pwr and reset switches with the label facing the front of the case but looking at the picture for installation in the mobo manual. they install 90 degrees to that. my choice being installed with the label facing the top or bottom of the case. I have them facing up. Is that the right choice?
TIA

As long as you have the connector over the correct pins, as marked in the motherboard manual, they'll work - regardless which way around.

That's not the case for the LEDs, though - they need to have the correct polarity. The manual shows which of the two pins is the positive, this should be connected to the coloured wire from the connector.

I am using a Sonata II case and all the labels on the cables face towards the top of the case

thanks, the computer is running, I am installing the hard drive.
tho' the HD LED doesn't appear to work, I will turn it around when the OS is on. And it looks like it has only recognized one stick of RAM
Also the OS install only sees half of the 250 M SATA HD I installed. Any suggestions on these few glitches.

For the LED, with the computer off and unplugged from the wall outlet, flip the connector around 180 degrees.

What are the complete system specs for this computer? List all parts by brand and model.

Exactly which OS are you using? If WinXP, do you have the original or one with a SP already in it (SP1 or SP2)?
