No Lan

I have a MSI 945P Neo2 mobo installed in my new build. I have two glitches and was wondering if it would have anything to do with the OS. I installed WIN2000 SP2. It only reports 1G of Ram tho I have two sticks installed. And there is no network adapter in the device manager, tho the connector lights up properly and the router shows a light on that line. Specs for this mobo say "Because of the limitations of chipset, this MB does not support Win98/ME" It doesn't say anything about 2000. In any case, I cannot connect to my network.

I found the LAN problem in the BIOS, but I don't see any way to get it to find more RAM. How would I know if the chip is bad?

So you have two 1GB sticks of ram?

Check to see if they are recognized in your BIOS.

Yes two 1G sticks. In the standard CMOS settings, it just shows 1024M. I don't see a place to change that or have it look again. Am I missing something

Look around and see if there is a "disable/enable dual channel ram" setting. If the Lan gives you any more trouble, you can download the latest drivers here.
