Home theatre or not?
I'm building a new PC for my uncle, whom mostly uses it for multimedia purposes, but also for photo editing, e-mail and surfing the web. While looking for a suitable case to put his hardware into, I came across the Thermaltake Bach and Mozart Home Theatre PC cases. This had me rethink the potential of such a system and having it set up to his television and sound system to unify his multimedia/home theatre for entertainment.
I'm curious to know what everyones thoughts are on the home theatre approach, incase there's something that I may have overlooked. Has anyone tried this, what was your experience? This link has more details on what I'd like to do: http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/mul...ch-mozart.html Thanks, Shaun |

Here is an interesting Article about Multimedia Devices to build a home theater device.
http://www.anandtech.com/multimedia/...spx?i=2761&p=2 Things to think about: What kind of Sound System What kind of Video equipment i.e. HDTV, Dual Tuner, Windows MCE? Maybe try looking at using a new Core Duo motherboard that can run a Core Duo Mobile Processor. Happague is one of the best PVR Multimedia TV Card. Never tried this myself. |
