Exclamation My computer has issues

I just bought a new motherboard and a new case to build a new computer in because my old motherboard went wacky. I've installed everything correctly (i think and hope) but something's still wrong. At first, it boots up fine, first showing the screen where it boots up the videocard, then the logo of my motherboard and processor, then something that I have no idea what it is (some sort of boot agent it says) and then the screen goes blank and the pc internal speaker starts beeping like crazy. All of the fans are working. The only thing that I'm not sure of is the hard drive, I'm not sure how I would tell whether it's working or no though. Can anyone help me? Oh, I might want to note that this is the first computer that I've built....
EDIT:
Now that i think about it, it must be the hard drive since that's the only thing that didn't load.....but I still have no idea of how to fix it.

Windows needs repaired or reinstalled so that it gets properly loaded to match the new hardware. I'm assuming here that you just pulled the harddrive from the old and are trying to boot it with the new ardware..

Do you have a molex and SATA power connectors attached to the hard drive? I sure hope not.

Thank you soooo much, it's loading Windows right now, without any crazy beeping noise!

Ummm.... what might those look like? I don't know the names of the cables, I just take what the instruction manual says and plug it in....

Well it must not be a problem if it's working. But for the future, you only need one power connector for the hard drive.

What motherboard, video card, and power supply are you using?

When asking for assistance, we need system specs.
