Couple of Questions.

Compatibility of Parts used. Does anyone see any issues or better match ups?

How noisey will this build be on a scale of 1(quiet) to 10(loud).

The PSU. I'm planning on running SLI dual cards in the future, will this be enough power.

RAM. Since I'm planning on doing video editing from my Digital video camera on this machine should I move RAM up to 4GB's?

Vid Card Help. See above Vid Card.

Optical Drive. See above Optical Drive.

Am I missing anything. I'm itching to start this build however, does anyone think I should wait for better motherboard release?

Yes, if you plan on SLI with a Core 2 Duo, wait a while till the new NForce chipsets are out and debugged.

They need to get all of the glitches out of the ones currently available first.

If you want to run SLI later then why the heck would you want to buy an ATI card? Wouldn't you want to buy a good Nvidia card and then just add another one later?

MY recommendations:

That power supply is good but there are better ones. The reason I wouldn't choose that one is because you can't enjoy the blue lights in that case. Look at a Seasonic 600w or similar.

With Intel go with ATI's equivelent of SLI, Crossfire. Get the P5W DH motherboard by Asus.

Get 2x1gb sticks of memory. Leaves room for future upgrade.

Everything else is fine.

The only nvidia chip I would wait for are the C55 NF590's/6xx series.

THE reason why the current NF590 is NOT being recommended is simply this:
The chipset basically is not worth it. Theres no performance increase, no immediate advantages over intel chipsets besides the ability to do quad sli. Which in itself has not yet matured. AND 5xx is being phased out.

DFI and a few others had plans to release their NF590 boards a MONTH ago. They delayed/cancelled. They produced prototypes and saw the major flaws and disadvantages of it.

Most manufacturers are waiting for the C55 revision which is supposed to really evolve the NF590 chipset into one thats actually worth manufacturing.

It will probally be relabeled with the "6" mark, introducing nvidia's new intel series of chipsets.

When is it coming out? Hopefully with the release of ati's R600.
