Current shopping list:
Just wondering if this is all compatible. Don't want to go and spend hundreds of £ and find out that there is incompatibility issues! I am looking for the ultimate gaming machine, and will spend what it takes to get it. So if you guys find any improvements that I might want to consider, give me a shout! Cheers guys

Probably don't need a 750w PSU. If not doing Crossfire a 500 to 600 will do fine.
Don't forget optical drives. Look at the Lite-on brand.

Why are you only getting 1 GB of RAM? That's going to hold the rest of the system back; you should get 2 GB.

In that case, why not get a 2x1GB matched pair? That'll leave a couple of slots open on your board for any future upgrade.

Um even with all the cathodes, lights and other random stuff you can imagine, you dont need more then a quality 500W powersupply. If going anything more to, your going to be doing it for Crossfire. In which case I suggest getting the right psu.

That's a decent unit, and will power your components just fine.
I actually bought one for my own system - which unfortunately died recently after 12 months. However, it did so without taking any of my components with it (one of the many benefits to buying a quality units). Hiper replaced it under the 3 year warrenty. If this puts you off Hiper, you might look at overclockers.co.uk 's range of Tagan PSUs. FK |
