Rebuilding computer-- windows xp questions

Hey-- I'm fairly new to computer building so bear with me. I am planning on replacing my motherboard, processor, video card, and possibly ram. I am keeping the same harddrive. Do I have to buy a new copy of Windows XP? Can I boot it off of the existing harddrive. I know i will have to set up the BIOS intially, but i'm just not sure about windows. I don't want to have to buy a new copy if i don't have to. If anyone can help, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.
