Power Problems
This is my first build and I'm having some power issues. I tried removing everything as directed in another post ad powering the basics. Basically, everything powers up when I short out the power pins, and I've gotten everything connected, EXCEPT the power switch. When I connect that, it won't start up. I've tried connecting it every way I can think of, but it won't work. If I disconnect it and short the pins, it starts just fine.
Any ideas? Thanks. |

The switch for the power button is defective and needs to be replaced. Or if your case has a reset button switch you can swap that one with the power button switch. They're both the same type of momentary contact switch.
