If you ever plan on overclocking, that's not a suitable motherboard. Otherwise, it should be stable as a rock.
You may not need a sound card - try it without first, you can always add one later. |

if you have any extra money you might want to buy the core2duo E6600 so the computer might last longer and be faster. but if u dont have the money the E6300 will do good.

No, stick with C2D. They eat P-D's for lunch.

will the video card work with the mobo? cause it says on the video card specs that "PCI Express based PC is required with one x16 lane graphics slot available on the motherboard and one additional adjacent expansion slot."
what does this mean? |

oh... one last thing... on the mobo spec it says: "Notice: Only DDR2-800 memory supporting JEDEC approved 1.8V operation with timings of 5-5-5 or 6-6-6 is supported on Intel Desktop Boards based on Intel 965 Express Chipsets." and the one you recommended [http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...2E16820220144] says 4-4-4-12... is it still okay to use this memory stick?

ok... so i found a memory stick that has 5-5-5-15 timing and a voltage of 1.8v - 2.0v... now this ram should work with my mobo... right?
mobo spec: Notice: Only DDR2-800 memory supporting JEDEC approved 1.8V operation with timings of 5-5-5 or 6-6-6 is supported on Intel Desktop Boards based on Intel 965 Express Chipsets. |

Why are you getting a motherboard with on-board video? Get this motherboard instead. Everything else looks fine. Cricket

thanks for the mobo suggestion Cricket. i would like to change the ram but the mobo is very strict with its ram... on the spec it says something about 5-5-5 or 6-6-6 timing. i had to do a research on which memory are coompatible with this mobo... here's a link: http://www.intel.com/design/motherbd...nternalmem.htm can you please suggest which ram are best from the list? thank a bunch!!!

Any of those modules on the list should be fine. You will never notice the difference between any of them.
