New Build - A Couple Questions

Hi everyone, I'm in the process of building a new PC and I just wanted to make sure that the parts I'm looking at are compatible and work--more specifically, the Ram and Motherboard I'm looking at. It seems that there has been some problems with voltages and 965 chipset boards. Anyways here's my parts list so far:

Case - Antec P180 Mid Tower Case-----$89 (already bought)
http://outpost.com/product/4470306

Motherboard - ASUS P5B-E Socket T (LGA 775) Intel P965 Express ATX-----$160
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131070

Ram - OCZ 2GB DDR2 PC2-6400 800MHz CL 4-4-4-15 / Platinum / Revision 2-----$209 after rebate
http://shop1.outpost.com/%7BF65JDCgs...roduct/5008315

Hard Drives - 2x400 GB Seagate SATA2 Drives ----$199 (already bought)

Video Card - ASUS EAX1950PRO/HTDP/256M 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 Video Card------$165
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...AFC-C8Junction

CPU - Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 Conroe 2.4GHz 4M sharing L2 Cache LGA 775-----$313
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819115003

DVD-Burner - LITE-ON 16X DVD±R DVD Burner Black ATAPI/E-IDE Model SHW-160P6S-04-----$29
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827106013

Power Supply - FSP Group AX450-PN, 450W Power Supply------$48
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817104954
OR
XCLIO GOODPOWER 500W ATX 500W Power Supply-------$56
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817189005

Monitor - Dell E207WFP 20'' Widescreen Flat Panel LCD-------$230
http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/p...9&sku=320-5123
__________________________________________________________________

I think that's all of the components, and the components total to about $1450 so far. I'm looking to spend anywhere between $1000-$1500 total. I won't be overclocking a lot and the PC will be mainly used for my Dad's work which involves a lot of software development and Virtual PCs. I know that I don't need the DDR2-800 ram, but it doesn't seem that much more expensive than slower ram. Is there anything that could be improved in the build, and do I have to worry about the compatibility of the RAM and Mobo? I see the Mobo supports up to 2.1V for memory, and the Ram has latencies with either 1.9V-2.0V. Thanks a lot for your input!

Looks good however I would still choose Corsair XMS2 PC6400 memory and a 500w power supply from reputable manufacturers such as Antec, Silverstone, FSP, Seasonic, Enermax, etc.

I think 965 chipset boards require ram to have 4-4-4-15 timings at 1.8 or 1.9V, and the OCZ ram is about $60 cheaper than the Corsair stuff after rebate. I had a really good experience recently with OCZ and their RMA department, so I'm confident in their products and customer service. I'll try to find a couple 500w power supplies and see how much they cost, thanks

I'd use the standard Corsair XMS2 DDR2-800 CL5 stuff myself. CL4 doesn't do anything for you on a 965 except cause instabilities.

^thanks I'll look into getting that ram instead. One other quick question, I saw this power supply on sale for really cheap:

http://www.antec.com/us/productDetails.php?ProdID=22480

Would this be compatible with that Asus P5B-E mobo in my first post? The power supply says: "ATX12V 2.01 compliant. 24-pin main power connector with detachable 4-pin section". And on the Asus website it says "24-pin ATX Power connector" so I'm guessing they're compatible? I read somewhere that some motherboards requre a 24 + 4 pin connector so I just wanted to make sure. Thanks!

Edit: Here's a link to the power supply if anyone else is looking for it - $38 + shipping which is a lot cheaper than newegg:

Yes, that's a good power supply. It will have a 20+4 and a separate 4 pin, which is what you need.

When looking at that site...it was hard to tell if you needed to buy the 'power cable'...you might want to find out before you buy.

Every power supply I've ever bought came with a power cable.

Question

yeah, but then why does the site have an option to buy a power cable It's not like you need a 'spare' cable!
