Do I need to get a CPU fan? and heatsink? I purchased a e6600 with p5w dh deluxe mother board.

here's my list. Do i need to make any other considerations?

CPU = e6600
Mobo = p5w dh deluxe
RAM= 2 gb crucial
Case = 180p
psu= FPS 700 watt
HDD= seagate 320 gb
optical = liteon dvd/cd +-RW

Any other considerations?

Where can I get good detailed step by step instructions with pics?

or will there be instructions with my equipment?

If you bought a Retail CPU, instead of OEM, it will come with a HSF.

More than likely yes, if you bought it off Newegg and paid around $315 or so.

Newegg only has the e6600 in Retail so you're all set. There will be a heatsink and fan in the box with the chip.

Your list looks good, don't forget an OS, such as Windows XP.

You don't need an anti static wrist band - I know I never used one. As for the screw extractor - any old screw driver will work. Your all set.

You only need another drive if you want to do any disc-to-disc copying. If so, toss in a DVD-ROM. Otherwise, one is fine. You can always add one later.

A wrist strap and screw extractor are not required. As long as you ground yourself by touching the metal on the case as you work, theres no worry about static.

If you want either one though, any electronics store like Radio Shack will have them.

A magnetic screwdriver with a medium Phillips tip can be very handy.

Also, if your like me dropping standoffs, some pliers may come in handy, too.
