New build won't boot to OS
Need advice on how to overcome this issue. My computer is a new build, right now I only have the Hard drive and cd rom drive connected to my mobo. It booted up fine the first few days but now it will only get as far as the windows start up screen and then reboot to the safe mode option screen. It continues this cycle no matter what option i choose.
I have looked in the bios and it shows my Hard drive to be 3rd IDE Master and my CD drive to be 2nd IDE Slave. I have reset my Bios several times but it continues to read it this way. any advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks, Darkvision |

That doesn't work either the disk goes through the intial setup comes up to the blue screen for the options, when I pick one it just reboots itself and goes back over the same sequence.

That PSU sounds like is one that came with the case. It's a non dual rail and probably isn't ATX 2.0 standard which your system should have.

You need a true ATX 2.0 that has a 24 pin (or 20 + 4 pin) motherboard power connector and dual 12v rails, something like this.
