Need help with video card... graphics not so good
Hi everybody
I got my build operational and everything seems pretty good, except for my graphics are not all that crisp. They are okay, but not what I expected. I'm using a x1900 xt by sapphire and a 22 inch monitor. I've been playing Ghost recon and the colors seem pretty dull and it's blurry. I've tried to download the drivers but there are several drivers and not much help with which ones I need. When I try to download I get a message about not having the "Dot Net" framework. I'm really confused, can anybody help me out here? Thanks guys |

Just download the latest drivers off of Ati's site, following the simple directions. You need 6.10 for latest.
You also need .net framework, which you will need to download as well in order for catalyst control center to run. Did you not use the drivers that were in your bundled driver cd??

You can get the .Net framework from the download page with the drivers. It's the first thing listed.

There was no bundled cd with the card... I've double checked but nothing...
When I try to download the .net framework, at the end of download I get a message saying that there was an error? |

is this 22" monitor a wide screen? what make is it? and at what res are you at for the game? some games don't like wide screens, do other programs/games look ok? it's definitely a driver issue, look at the drivers for the monitor too.

The monitor is a widescreen. It's a MICHEI and it was getting great reviews at newegg. It came with a CD but it is just the manual.
It's not that the picture is terrible, it's just not great. Maybe I'm expecting too much out of this machine. I would say that I get better graphics with a ps2 or xbox... I just figured since I got pretty good hardware now I would have a great picture... |
