CRASH Building a new comp. All I get is beeps.

I'm building a new computer. I got everything so far in the computer except the RAM. That's still coming iin the mail. Anyway, I hooked everything up and plugged it in and turned it on to see if things were working. The minute I turned it on, i get a series of beeps. "BEEEEEEEP, BEEP, BEEP" and then it repeats from there. I see no display, just hear the beeps from the computer's speaker. Anyone have any idea what the beeps may mean?

You need the ram to get a display.

The beeps are an error code. Based on the pattern you will be pointed to the source of the problem. Need to check your MB manufacterer for the meaning, but more than likely it's because you do not have RAM installed yet.

Can you tell us the model and make of your MB...even though it seems super likely its because of the RAM, there is a possibility is not.

Yeah, you HAVE to have the RAM in there. It's not going anywhere without it. Just hold tight till you get the RAM. On the bright side, the beeping is probably a good sign.
