Temp Display not reading

I just finished putting together a MicroATX PC, everything works flawlessly, except for the temp display in the front panel. I have hooked up the power for it, put the temp sensor on the CPU, the display powers up, but all I see on it is "L*C". I am not sure what I should do. The case with the temp display is here: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...610&CatId=1507 I couldn't find anything about it, but maybe you can.

Wait, did you literally put the temp sensor on TOP of the actual cpu? Or did you just stick it to the heatsink?

Your case should come with manuals for those temp readers. However I keep mine purely for case temperature monitoring. Use your motherboard sensors for cpu readings.

And?

I am just not getting a temp reading, its not that the sensor is not accurate, I am not getting a reading at all.

Well..first of all where exactly is the probe placed? On the cpu heatsink, or on top of the actual cpu itself?

Your case shouldve come with a manual explaining the temperature senors..
However are the temp probes connected properly to the reader unit?
Have you tried attaching the senors on different ports if available?
Is the power plugged it and the powersupply on?

The probe is attached to the heatsink, the display is in the front panel, the display is getting power, it is just not showing a temperature. It shows "Lc".

It seems that it was a faulty display, I emailed Ultra, they will be sending a replacement sometime next week.
