I am suspecting Gateway from my searches. That's all the clue I have based on info above.

You're probably going to have to find out what model GW it is/was and download the drivers from the GW site.

I had a GW Performance 500 that was a Slot 1, 500MHz P3. If yours is a slot 1 cpu, try that model description.

Yes it's Slot 1 but Gateway Driver Download Search returned '0'

Another search still nothing.

Googled it. Nothing. At least not yet.

I'll keep trying but any other help appreciated.

WinXP will have the chipset drivers already in it's data base. I'm using a P2B-F which is a i440BX based motherboard and I didn't have to install any chipsest drivers after I installed WinXP.

What other on-board components do you need the drivers for?

Ok then it's all good. I was just playing it safe.

This is a back up puter I am using while my P4 is down.

I need it running like yesterday.

The HD I am using now is way too small so I am substituting it for this 200GB where all my backups are so this will work perfectly for me as a temporary computer.

I also upgraded the RAM from 128 to 256 so getting specs on this mobo will also be a plus in the event I can add more ram. My softwares are very demanding on the RAM.

My original computer is using 1GB RAM but the form factor [if that's the right word] for this board won't fit them.

Thanks everyone for help.

Very helpful group.
