Thumbs up What do you think?

Hi!
I'm building my first computer (yes another one of those) and want some advice/constructive criticism! Would all of the components i've picked work together? And are there any big mistakes? anything i've missed? Anyway, this is what i've got so far:-

PC Case-----------------------------------------------ATX case
Hard Drive----------------------------------------------SEAGATE HD IDE 250GB UDMA 100 7200RPM 8MB
Processor ----------------------------------------------Intel Core 2 Duo Processor E6400
Motherboard-------------------------------------------SROCK CONROE 945G- DVI SATA2 SOCKET 775
Memory Modules -----------------------------------Corsair DDR2 667 2x1gb/2x512mb
Power Supply ---------------------------------------ATX 400 watt
Video Card -------------------------------------------NVIDIA 7600 GS PCI-E 256MB
Keyboard & Mouse --------------------------------got one
CD-ROM Drive----------------------------------------got one

I'm not sure what monitor i want yet, just something cheap.... And i have no idea what power supple to use really!

Sorry, im a bit on the noob side when it comes to building computers but im not a complete dumbass! Lol.

Any replies and advice would be much appreciated, thanks, Darren.

ASRock mother boards are a budget board. Could take a look Asus.
Make sure you get a PSU from a good brand like Antec/Fortron/Sparkle.

Get a SATA hard drive instead of an older style IDE drive. If you end up with a motherboard with a 965 chipset (and I recommend you take a look at those, or one of ASUS's cheaper revised 945 boards) you're going to have problems. Intel's 965 chipset dropped IDE support, so most of the boards only have one 3rd party IDE port, which you'll want to use for your CD/DVD drive(s).

Forton/Sparkle has some pretty good budget units (450W Forton for around $50)

Thanks for the replies. Ok, so i've corrected a few things...

PC Case- COBRA ATX PC Case
Hard Drive- Seagate ST3300831AS 7200.8 300Gb SATA II
Processor- Intel Core 2 Duo Processor E6400
Motherboard- ASUS P5LD2 SE LGA775 Core 2 Duo 945P ICH7 FSB1066 4Gb
Memory Modules- Corsair DDR2 667 2x1gb
Power Supply - ANTEC TRUE CONTROL 550W
Video Card- NVIDIA 7600 GS PCI-E 256MB
Keyboard & Mouse- got one

So would you say that it's ok to build that? Thanks again, Darren.

I'd go for one of Forton/Sparkle's cheaper units. They are cheaper (Forton 450W for $50) and I've been hearing of some issues with Antec PSU's lately. If you want to stick with an Antec - just get the regular Truepower II, unless you must have the volage control features of the power supply you've got listed.
