Boot up

Hi,
Just built my first build,
Core 2 Duo E6600
BFG 7300GS OC
Corsair 1GB DDR2 Ram
MSI Power-up Platinum edition
2 Western Digital 160GB Sata drives
Sony DVD Drive
Hiper 580W PSU

So when I start it up, I get no screen, but the "D-LED" tells me my memory is incorrectly fixed or broken, but I to it straight from the box and installed it? Is the only way of telling, by buying more memory?

Thanks
#Nick

Clear CMOS per MSI instruction. Remove the memory modules. Switch them around. Be sure that they are properly seated in the slots. Power up. Tell us what happens. Good luck.

Hi,
I have 2 512MB modules which I bought yesterday, so I could do some tests, and I also have 1 1GB module. i am cleared the CMOS and followed the guide that GLC supplied to me.
But to no avail. None of this is fixing it. Is it possible that I have a broken MOBO?

Thanks for all the help so far!

Well the D-LED bracket's lights imply this is the problem, and that is the only indication I get, and it is always the same.

Yes it is sounding like a bad motherboard, or processor.
