RMA - need to pick replacements FAST

Hey everybody i hope somebody can help me out here. I'm kindof in a hurry because newegg agreed to ship my parts overnight for free if I order today.

I had to RMA my mobo and optical. They don't have the optical for replacemetn so they gave me a credit and i need to buy the parts soon to get the free shipping. I've been looking at the MOBO's and there is a new one that is getting great reviews. problem is I don't know if it's compatible with the parts I already have. It says it's an SLI mobo, but I have ATI. x1900 series GPU.

this is the MOBO i was looking at..will it work with my other components?
If not is there a better board than the P5W dh deluxe for what I already have?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813188009

I also need a good optical that is fast and reliable in the 50 dollar range.

here's what I have:

GPU =ATI x1900xt
RAM= crucial pc667 10th anniversary edtion
HDD= seagate 320 gb.
case=antec p180
PSU = FPS group 700 watt. also being RMA'd as we speak.
CPU = e6600
mobo was p5w dh deluxe
optical was liteon cd/dvd burner.

I hope somebody can help me... thanks alot

ABIT has just introduced their version of that board: the IN932X-MAX. You might want to look into that.

Nicoliv, it will be compatible. The crucial memory I cant 100 percent confirm to work. But most micron based ram (the stuff thats in the crucial) has been doing good sucess with 680i.

If your gonna go 680i, I would highly suggest the ABIT that chuck suggested, or asus's 680i.

However, if your not worried about overclocking. That Evga is pretty decent. They have actually used FOXCONN has the OEM to build these. So you shouldnt have many issues.

Hey Mr Ferrari thanks.

So the GPU compatibility is not the issue? I can go crossfire with the SLI board?

The RAM is 240 pin so I would think it should work right?

Which board in your opinion P5W or i680 considering the components I have from pre RMA, that are listed above.

I can't find either the abit or the ASUS i680 on newegg, does anybody have a link?

Well if your looking to get a burner that has Lightscribe and t least 5x DVD-RAM then save some money and get this Samsung since the Lite-On is sold out.

Nope, you need a CrossFire motherboard for that.

It'll fit in the memory slots but whether it's compatible or not is another matter.

No, you can run a single card fine, but crossfire right now is only supported on i975X. I.E the asus p5wdh.

P5N32-E SLI
The abit is not really available everywhere. I did however see it in zzf for a day but its gone now.

Well what exactly went wrong with your P5W? I would probally stick to tried and true-P5W.

Well, I got them to cover my return shipping for my RMA. They have excellent support.

To help you, I see it senseless to go with an nVidia chipset, not only because it is with Intel, but because you have ATI graphics. Stick with an Intel chipset - much more stable.
