good 500W PSU with UV power cord or sleeving

My friend is building a light gaming, but mostly video editing computer, (which is why I'm posting for him, no internet), and he needs suggestions for a PSU, preferrably from Newegg, but W/E. here's what his specs are so far, but this is rough.

Core 2 duo 2.13
nvidia 7800GS
single hard drive in the 320 GB range
2gb ram
ASUS p5n motherboard, or one close to that, I'm not sure he's decided.
Dual NEC DVD/CD burners

he may want to move up to a better card in the future, or he might buy a 7800Gt, he's not sure yet.

I guess that puts him into the 500W-600W zone or something, does anyone have any suggestions?
my thoughts were ANTEC chameleon, or something like that, but there have been problems with antec's reliability past one year from what I've read.

also, and I know this is wierd, but he's a modder, and a UV Junkie, but does anyone know of any good cases with UV or COLORED AC power cords? or if not that then sleeved wires? (I told him they'd laugh at me for asking, but...) and does anyone know where to get colored AC power cords or UV power cords? just to be clear, that'd be the one that plugs into the WALL. He's looked, but he can't find anything.

Thanks

For the powr supply, look at Hiper or OCZ units for colored cable sleeving. The FSP 500w Blue Storm is also nice.

I'd like to comment on the motherboard. P5N boards with nVidia based chipsets are highly unstable for Intel builds. Go with an Intel chipset. Isn't the 7800gs AGP?

Most people recommend either the E6300 or the E6600. The E6400 only has a slightly faster clock than the E6300, and you probably wouldn't notice the difference. You could probably get a FSP AX450 Power supply, and then sleeve the cables with a UV sleeving kit (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...2E16817104954), although I am not familiar with Nvidia's video card power requirements. In the way of motherboards, I would recommend:

Asus P5B - $135 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131030
Foxconn P9657AA-8KS2H - $100 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813186102
ASUS P5L-MX - $76 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131041

What's the budget? Hope that your friend enjoys his build.
