Problems with new build
When I try to power up my new build, the power supply fan and the heatsink fan seem to start up but then quick turn off. I'm not sure what's going on. I checked all my connections and they seem fine but the power won't stay on for some reason. Any ideas as to what might be causing this?
ASUS P5B-VM Motherboard XClio 500 Watt Power Supply Thanks, Mark |

Perhaps try the out of the case troubleshooting steps found here:
http://forum.pcmech.com/showthread.php?t=132409 Likely causes are, something shorting out on the backside of the mobo, processor heatsink fan not installed properly, improper memory, or something not seated in properly. Follow the steps and if it does happen to be an actual faulty hardware component then this is how you'll find that also.
