i have just finished buildin a new system and just installed the hard drive and it wont find it to install windows. the motherboard is a MSI K9VGM-V AM2 socket sata 2 interface and the hard drive is a sata 2 western digital 120gb hard drive can some body help please?

Look in the BIOS for some option to enable SATA/can't tell you if there such a thing or not. Next,check in the mother board manual as to if you need to install SATA drivers.

i carnt see anythin in the bios and ive looked in the motherboard manuel and it doesnt mention anythin about sata drivers. any idea what i need to do?

Try clearing the CMOS, mobo manual should say how to do it.
