Post-build RAM stick issue
Heres my problem.
I built my computer according to my manuels and the guide that you have on your website (which was really helpful, thank you )My self built computer is running very well. Im using it right now. My problem is that I bought 2 sticks of ram. both 1 gig. The computer refuses to boot when I put both in but it works just fine with only 1 stick Both sticks of ram are of the same type and brand. Does anyone have any idea as to what may solve my problem? My computer specs btw: CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+ Socket AM2 BOX CPU - Windsor Memory: US Modular 1024MB PC4200 DDR2 533MHz (I bought 2 of these) PSU: Ultra 500W X-Finity Power Supply 120mm Fan / Black/ SLI/ SARA-Ready D Drive: NEC ND-3550 Black 16x DVD Burner in Retail Box HD: Seagate 320GB Serial ATA HD 7200/16MB/SATA-3G MOBO: ASUS M2N32-SLI Deluxe Case: Cooler Master Centurion 534 Blk Case OS: Windows XP SP2 Home Edition |

Apparently the problem is with the motherboard itself and not the RAM. If you do a Google search for "asus m2n32-sli deluxe memory problem", you'll get a whole lot of links to other people having the same problem. They can't seem to get the dual-channel feature to work (putting both sticks in the yellow slots). I didn't find a solution anywhere either though, and alot of the links I checked out seemed to have people that were really mad that Asus didn't seem to be supplying any kind of fix for this yet. Maybe someone else around here will know something different than what I do though.
