building new PC MOB powers on automaticly ?!!!
So I follwed the instructions above about pulling everything out and putting it onto a table and trying it that way. But as soon as I plug the power cable into the wall it powers on everything without having to jump the MOB. and I get no signal on the monitor and no sound from the speakers (no beeps) any ideas?

Sounds like you have a short somewhere - I have the same issues with a motherboard I am currently working with, however I think my motherboard is just faulty.
What are your full system specifications?

You won't get any sound from the speakers. You need to connect a CASE speaker (or the mobo has a speaker mounted on it) to the Speaker connection on the Front Panel header in order to hear any bios beeps. Sounds like your power supply is shorted if it starts without a power switch signal from the mobo. What are your system specs?

Panama Red, you just sparked an idea in my mind that may be the solution to my problem. I don't want to hijack this man's thread, but possibly it is his power supply. I use an Antec NEO HE 500w power supply which I've heard mixed things about - I have the same issue with the motherboard starting on its own and also with restarts.

That motherboard doesn't even support the Pentium D processor. Is this a custom built computer?

I think newbuilder is right on. That cpu will physically fit in the mobo but there's no support for it.

If you are looking for an alternative I'd suggest an Asus or Intel 945p based board. Remember you'll need different memory - you need DDR2 memory, so I'd get Corsair ValueSelect DDR2 667 memory.
Oh, by the way, Newegg is very nice about returns and they will pay for your shipping if you ask them, too.

Uh... putting a Pentium D into the 915-chipset based motherboard - will it kill the processor? The electrical specs for the Pentium 4 and D are totally different...
