PC Building for Cash?
Sorry to start a second thread at the same time I started another one...but they are totally unrelated. Also, I'm not sure if this is in the right place, but it seemed like the correct place.
Ok, so I hear many of you talking about how you are building PCs, and making a fair bit of extra cash from it, well feel as though I am up to the task, however I'm just not sure where to start! Should I put flyers up? Should I put an ad in the paper? Also what do you all charge, 5%, 10%? ~Thanks~

There was a thread about this recently in Gen D...might wanna go back in there and look around. Also could search on this topic, it's been discussed many times before. Sorry to give you the run around, but hope this helps.

Yeah, I build computers for money. It is a great way to make a bit of extra cash, but has downsides. You usually won't be paid before hand - at least I never was, but then again you might require that. You run the risk of having problems occur and should/need to offer a warranty. I recommend it. How much should you charge? Well, that is totally up to you. I used to charge a low fee of $50, but now I will be charging a bare minimum of $100 ontop of the parts for the build. Oh, and it's all about word of mouth. Paper advertisement would not be a bad idea either, though.
