I wrote this thread at Tom's hardware about a week ago to see if this custom build from scratch could run Battlefield 2 at max settings with no FPS hit: Will this Rig run BF2 at Max Settings? - Well it is now built and the rig does in fact play BF2 at max settings as many said, though I sometimes am getting crashes to the Bluescreen of Death now. So far this has happened while playing online but not all the time just intermittantly. BF2 acxtually takes an abnormally long time to load and sometimes doesn't load at all which may be a point of concern (that may be the optical drive becaue the DVD/CD drive makes funny fast/slow spins when I load the game). Though when it's running it's fine. I should point out that the Mobo is actually ATI Crossfire while the Graphics card is XfX Nvidia Geforce 7950GT. Don;t know if that's the problem but thought I should point that out. My System Events only mention DCOM errors The latest as follows :

If you follow the link and search for DCOM, you can find a link to this:
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sup...DCOM&LCID=1033 Not sure that will help, or if you found it before, but it looks like a server/connection issue. |

Memory can cause such instability you are experiencing.
