Question How do I enable Realtek Drivers?

I am contunuiung my first time PC build. I have WINXP64 loaded and operating. I am trying to use the Fast Ethernet and Audio features of my Mainboard (ECS nForce4M-A). I have installed the drivers off of my Mainboard CD-ROM but I am having problems.

AUDIO - WINXP seems to recognize the drivers (Realtek AC97 Sound Driver), they show up in Device Manager but I cannot hear them on my monitor (I will buy a nicer audio card and speakers down the road) ... the monitor speakers is basically just a Stereo output jack. I did test the monitor speakers with a boombox and they are working.

Ethernet - WINXP cannot find any network hardware even though the driver says it installs when I load it (Realtek RTL8139 RTL810X PCI Fast Ethernet NIC Driver). Nothing in Device Manager (that I recognize). WINXP tells me that I do not have Ethernet Hardware connected.

Does anyone out there have any suggestions on how I can proceed?

Thanks

Go into Control Panel/Sound & Audio devices. There is where you turn and set up the audio controls. SoundMax may be the actual control for audio.
Network: Check in theBIOS to make sure on-board Lan is enabled.

Audio: My Default Device is "Realtek AC 97 Audio." I do not see an option for "Soundmax." WINXP claims that this driver is installed and running properly. I also have the output configued to a stero monitor output.

Lan: I had Onboard LAN enabled in my BIOS and it wasn't working. Is there a way to test this?

Thanks!

Since your running 64 bit XP, probably need to find 64 bit drivers for sound and network if there are any.
