is this compatible?

i just ordered all my parts off of newegg.com and started building my computer about two days ago. i think my PSU came DOA because nothing in my computer powered up at all including the fans or anything else. this is my first computer build andi think for the most part i set all the cables right. im sending my PSU back for a replacement but just in case it is not the PSU, could someone tell me if all these parts are compatible?

You seem to have copied the links wrong - none of them are linked correctly. Please post the correct ones then we can help.

Change the motherboard to a good quality one, I like the Asus P5B.

Get a Lite-On DVD burner (Retail for software).

I'd also boost the RAM up to DDR2-667 Corsair.

You have a really good power supply and unless it really is DOA I don't think it's the problem. Did you make sure the rocker switch on the back of the power supply was on ("0" is OFF, "1" is ON)?

Did you just flip the rocker switch on the power supply but didn't hit the power button on the front of the case when you tried to power up?

If you did flip the rocker switch and try the front power button are you positive the power button connector was on the right set of pins of the front panel header (where all the wires from the front are connected to)? I would double check that before I sent the PSU back.

i did everything you said there. i have all of the pins in the right spot, i flipped the rocker switch on both settings and tried everything. i switched the AC cord with another one and it still didn't work. i also tried what was on the link you sent me. im about to go to the post office and send the PSU back to newegg.
