Specs for new build

This is the parts list for my newest build. My plan is for this to mostly be a gaming machine, but this is also my first foray into the AMD world, so any suggestions or possible conflicts would be appreciated.

Apevia X-Discovery-BL Blue Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe Socket AM2 NVIDIA nForce 570 SLI MCP ATX AMD Motherboard

Sapphire 100177L Radeon X1950XTX 512MB GDDR4 PCI Express x16 CrossFire Video Card

Thermaltake W0057RU-01 PurePower TWV ATX 12V 2.0 500W Power Supply

AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+ Windsor 2.6GHz Socket AM2 Processor

Corsair XMS2 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model TWIN2X2048-6400

Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD2500KS 250GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive

Samsung 18X DVD±R DVD Burner With 12X DVD-RAM Write, LightScribe Technology Black IDE Model SH-S182M/BEBN

Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeGamer 70SB073A00000 7.1 Channels PCI Interface Sound Card - Retail

Windows XP

I have ambitions to eventually double the graphics cards into SLI.

Everything looks good, but I would go with a different power supply (not real fond of Thermaltake products, their quality never impressed me) and a Lite-On DVD burner instead of the Samsung.

You cannot SLI ATI cards, only nVidia cards.

newbuilder14,

That's right. That was an oversight on my part. I changed the type of vid card right before I posted the message. I'm thinking the crossfire will be enough video card for me for most games.

If the motherboard is SLI, it cannot support Crossfire either - your best bet is to get a single nVidia card.
