Boom Nothing showing up durring boot

Hi, I’m building a new computer. Here are my specs.

Intel DG965RYCK Socket 775 Motherboard
Intel core 2 Duo E6300 Processor
BFG GeForce 79500 Graphics Card
Hitachi 160GB SATA II 7200rpm Hard Drive
JPC 450w Dual Fan SATA Power Supply
LG Black 18X DVD+R 8X DVD+RW 8X DVD+R DL 18X DVD-R 6X DVD-RW 12X DVD-RAM 16X DVD-ROM 48X CD-R 32X CD-RW 48X CD-ROM 2M Cache IDE Super-Multi DVD Burner

So, here’s the basic problem. I turn on my pc: the lights blink, the fans spin (quite loudly I might add), and my monitor turns on. But that’s it. While the monitor is obviously receiving some kind of signal, it simply displays a blank screen. I’ve tried booting with a windows XP disk in the drive and it still gives me the same screen. I’m stumped. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A couple of additional facts that might not mean much: I don't have a proper On/Off switch so I'm using a boot switch to turn on the computer. And the first time I turned it on, there was a Beep Beep Beep sound that stopped pretty quickly. It hasn't beeped since I turned it on the first time. Is it possible that I haven't plugged in a cable or something?

My vote would be to get a "proper" On/Off switch.

If the above link fails I'd look into getting a better power supply.
