It will work with a single module but at reduced performance. Newegg charges tax only when the order is going to CA, TN, or NJ. You should not need any additional cables.

Why did you start a new thread?

The first case has a lot more flash to it which could account the extra cost. As for the second case w/PSU, the PSU is probably not suitable for your build.
For a DVD drive, go for the Lite-On retail version, good drive w/software.

I'm a bit confused - exactly which case and power supply are you getting?

You do need a retail boxed DVD burner to get software.

What power supply are you getting? That case doesn't come with one.

No. It's not ATX 2.0. The only good Sunbeams are the NUUO series. There's not a 580w quality PSU in existence for 24 bucks.

Yes, everything looks fine. But if you're not going to overclock you should get DDR2 667 RAM instead of the DDR2 800.

And please use the Edit button to add comments to a previous post instead of making new posts...and you also need to be more patient, this is not a chat room...it's a bulletin board and you just have to wait for someone to come along to answer your questions.

Yes, but get dual channel memory (2x512mb in your case) and make sure you get software with your DVD burner. Also, are you sure you can't swing for a 19" LCD? They are the sweet spot right now (in my opinion), especially widescreen.

7950gt will be faster, but the X1950Pro might produce better image quality.

The X1950Pro has been having some serious problems - just ask Freakitchen. So in this case, I'd definitely go with the 7950gt for sure.

Some of the problems with the HIS x1950 could be due to the factory OC right from the start. Don't think a few extra Hz is going to make a whole lot of difference. The Powercolor would be the next option.
