New Build not recognizing DVD drive
Sparkle 400w ps
MSI RD480-Neo2 FI Motherboard Athlon 3700+ San Diego 512mb Buffalo DDR 400 I have my HDD (Maxtor 60gb) attached as primary master and then my cd-rw secondary master with my dvd-rw (Memorex) attached as slave on secondary IDE. The dvd drive has was used with no problems until I did this little upgrade and now I cant get it to be recognized no matter where I put it (Master/Slave/Primary/Secondary) I've tried different PS connectors and there is no power to it. I should at least have power even if its not being recognized, right? I've tried everything I can think of any other suggestions. |

I would say that the drive just died on you. This one is pretty obvious.

Thats just what I was afraid of but was afraid to admit it since I had used it not even an hour prior.
