building a good gammer computer
Hey guys, im building a computer hopefully. This will be my first one and if heard differant opinionsof what to choose from. Heres my story, Its gonna be a good gammer that can run Dark Ages of Camelot . I wanna run my stealther acct. and be able to duel-log a bot acct at the same time. Witch this will meana alot of Alt-Tabbing. Ive heard this can be built with around 800 bucks. I wanna go with good parts but wanna not send over 1000 bucks on this machine. Can this be done? If so what parts do i look for besides a intel duel core processer? I dunno how many pins and caches i should look for. I know around 775 duel core is what i should look for. Guys please help me out and save me the brain blah! I really appretiate this very much!!!! Thank you much!!

Use www.newegg.com to search for some parts. If you get a general start in each category and search by best rated, something on the first page is generally good. for around 1000$ u probably want:
PSU Case 1 GB DDR2 memory Mid-range video card (PCI-Express and <200$) COre 2 duo Mobo (LGA 775) that supports it CD Drives (depends what you want) Hard Drive Get a look and try to put something together and show us what you find, then we can help you go from there! Look into the following:
Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 ASUS P5B Motherboard 2GB Corsair Value Select DDR2-667 Memory eVGA Nvidia 7600GT (a placeholder video card to tide you over until Direct X 10 is mainstream) Lite-on DVD Burner (retail boxed) Seagate 7200.10 Hard Drive (250GB / 320GB in the 'sweet spot' of price per gigabyte) Antec Sonata II case & 450w power supply Price up something along those lines, and post your chosen parts for constructive criticism!
