Computer Noob
As the title implies, im a total idiot when it comes to computers. But im looking to buy one for my bedroom, a nice desktop computer. I use it mainly for the internet which i use an awfull lot, including downloading (if that helps) and i use the media facilities alot aswell. Im looking to spend anything up to £1000, but preferably try to keep it pretty low..
Could anyone point me in the right direction of makes of computers? Or what to look for. I talked to a friend, and he told me to look for lots of RAM and a Dual Core Proccessor.. Anything else to add to that? I only need the basics.. no printers, faxers, or anything. Also preferably (as a bonus) one of those slots for a network card. Thanks |

Are you looking for a recommendation for a prebuilt computer? If so, I'd get a Dell. A Dimension E520 would be your best bet, configure it with a Core 2 Duo processor. All computers these days come with an integrated network adapter standard.
