system build problem

i have just built a computer and when i have turned it on i dont get no beep and the computer wont display anythin on the screen. i have tried the speaker cable both ways and this has not given me a beep. the case fan and cpu both power up but thats all. the motherboard is a brand new AM2NF6G-VSTA ASROCK board and it is a 3200+ AMD sephron processer and 512 DDR2 memory. can anyone help me as i think i may have a faulty part as they are all new parts, and is there a way of finding out what the part is thats faulty. i seem to suspect the motherboard.

Are you using DDR2 800 ram and what is the brand and size of the PSU?

Do you have both the 20 pin and the 4 pin PSU connectors connected?
