i got world of warcraft for christmas. My wife started playing it too so i basically want to build a system as cheap as possible that will play that. im thinking about an intel 820 or maybe 915 pentium d but not positive. any suggestions would be appreciated.
the recommendations arepent 4 1.5 or higher but i do want an lga 775 socket it also says geforce 5700 or above and i also want pci-e Last edited by jdowling80; 01-11-2007 at 07:16 PM. |

Can I have a budget to configure a list for you? The Pentium D 915 is a good choice.

somewhere betrween 600 and 800 basicly the most bang for the buck without going to sub par components. for the video card i was thinking nvidia 7300 gs\gt i really havnt looked at mb yet it would be nice to get one that i could upgrade to core 2 duo later but its critical .

Do you need a monitor, keyboard, mouse, etc.?
You could do a budget C2D build with that kind of money. Antec Sonata II: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811129155 C2D E6300: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819115005 Asus P5B: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131030 Liteon DVD Burner: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827106043 Seagate 7200.10 250gb: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822148144 PNY 7600gs: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814133192 XP Home OEM: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16832116169 1gb Corsair Value Select: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145568 $740... if you can, boost up to an eVGA 7600gt. If you need peripherals and this is too much, you should probably downgrade to a Pentium D 915 and a different Intel 945 based chipset. Last edited by newbuilder14; 01-11-2007 at 03:02 PM. |
