First build, any suggestions/problems?

Hi I'm about to buy a new computer but before I pay for anything I'd like to know that everything I'm going to buy are sensible choices and what speed I could overclock to. The components are:

CPU: E6400
Motherboard: Asus P5B Deluxe
Memory: Corsair XMS TWIN2X2048-6400C5 (2x1024MB DDR2-800 5-5-5-15)
Hard Drive 1: Seagate 320GB 7200.10
Hard Drive 2: Seagate 300GB 7200.7 (I already have it)
Graphics Card: ATI X1950 Pro
Optical Drive: Sony DRU830A
Power Supply: Enermax Liberty 620W
Case: Gigabyte Poseidon - http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Products/...ProductID=2149
CPU Cooler: Arctic Freezer Pro 7
Monitor: ViewSonic VX922 (I already have it)
Speakers: Logitech Z-5500 (I already have them)

I would like to be able to overclock to 3.0 GHz plus, would this be possible with this setup? Would upgrading to cl4 help signifigantly? Also does anyone know anything about Sony DVDRW drives? The one listed above looks good but I've never heard anything about Sony drives.

If there is anything stupid or anything which is a waste of money (I'm set on the motherboard) please say. I'm planning on upgrading to 8800 GTX or something of that nature later on so that's why I chose a 620W PSU.

Cheers

Looks okay to me... make sure you get a retail DVD drive to get software.

You should be able to overclock with that setup.

For the power supply I've heard good things about the Seasonics/Silverstones (more particularly the Corsair 620w).

The DVDRW drive is retail and it comes with Nero Express. The Corsair 620W is $80 more than the Enermax one (New Zealand dollars). Is it actually that much better? I've heard Enermax are a decent brand for PSUs.

Looks great. I would switch to a lite-on optical if they are available.

And no the price difference is not worth it. The Enermax Liberty is quality.

Ok so I'll stick with the Enermax. Is there any particular model of Lite-on which you would recommend. The Sony one is $66 (US$) for comparison.

I chose this http://us.liteonit.com/us/index.php?...=157&Itemid=67 drive. Looks good and saves me $38.

Is cl5 RAM good enough to overclock to 3.0GHz or should I get cl4?

The P965 chipset does not like CL4 ram - stick with CL5.
