1st build Window Locks up and other probs
Got the system to post; windows boot up but having problems:
1) Windows lock up at different points 2) sometimes keyboard and mouse not function When this happens I am force to power down. This happens 100% of the time. Thought it might be the drive: tried setting to 3/GB then 1.5 transfer rate. Tried upgade BIOS Still problem. Could it be the motherboard? Here are my components (all new): ECS C151GM motherboard AMD X2 4200 (Frys' motherboard/CPU special) 2 GB RAM PNY EVGA 7900 GS - graphic Maxtor SATA II 200 GB |

No offense but your mobo brand and power supply brand are both on the "not recommended" list here. ECS boards are considered low quality as are Ultra power supplies. One of our members tested Ultra psu's and went thru 2 bad ones to find one good one - and these were supplied directly from the manufacturer. I'd replace the psu first.
