First build, runs, but small prob!
Hello, I built my first PC over the weekend got it all running and everything but i have 1 small problem, if i tap the case (literally barely tap it!) the PC shuts down, if I plug in a USB cable, the PC shuts down????? Can someone please help? I have checked everything I can think of. There are no loose connections.

It's most likely a grounding problem from your description. Did you use all the risers properly to install your motherboard? Is the outlet properly grounded? Are the front panel USB connections hooked up properly to the motherboard headers, including the ground pins?

Take a look at the I/O sheild, the little metal fingers may be touching inside one of the sockets on the mobo.
