Video Card Issues..

Hey guys first time poster, Love the site.. Here's my issue

I have a Intel D945PSN Motherboard, 1gb Memory, 500 watt power supply, BLANK New hard drive, nothing on it.. When I boot the pc, no error beeps, all fans come on, all green lights, everything seems good. I get no Video.. I have a Geforce 7300GS PCI-Express video card using the vga cable my monitor says NO Signal, So i thought my pci express slot was messed up and i went out and purchased a VisionTek Radeon x1300 pci video card, I plugged that in the computer and I still get the same problem.. Any help would be greatly appreciated..

THXS!

What is the brand and model of the PSU? Also, which CPU are you using? Doesn't look like that board supports Core 2 Duo.

The motherboard and Pentium D CPU will work.

No, don't have any of that stuff.
Are both the big power plug AND the square 4 pin power connector from the power supply connected to the motherboard?
If these are connected, then probably the PSU isn't working correctly

yea there both plugged in.. Should i unseat the processor and reseat it? Why would the Brand new power supply unit not work? Is there anything else that would cause the pc to not be able to accept any video cards, even in vga mode seems like the card should work..

Are you trying this out of the case with minimum components?

We remove the parts from the box to make sure nothing is grounding against the case, causing a short. So follow this troubleshooter again, and take the components OUT of the case completely: http://forum.pcmech.com/showthread.php?t=132409

ok, so i did that, I took out everything from the box, made sure there wasnt any loose screws floating around, put the motherboard back in put the intel pentium d chip back in, put the video card abck in hooked up all my cables including power, and now when i start up the pc i get a melody sort of beep like a "duhn nun... duhn nun" stays on for about 15-20 seconds and then shuts down.. Still no video..

I also went ant tested the ram on another pc and the other pc worked with the ram, I also tested the video card on another pc and it also worked..

Did the computer start when you assembled it out of the box?
