Which processor?
I am going to build a pc for gaming and i am wondering if Intel Core Duo is better than AMD FX

This is a great time to build. Conroe is very affordable and is whooping up on everything in most benchmarks. There is a huge amount of good advise here and some very definite general preferences, (as to component choices) for all budgets. Look through the history of this particular thread heading, and you'll get some great direction.

The best processor in that range is the E6600. If you can wait about 3 months, there will be a substantial price reduction on them and the E6700 will be in that range.
