New build won't post

Motherboard: Asus K8N-E Socket 754
Processor: AMD 64 3400+
Memory: Corsair XMS PC3200 512x2
Hard Drive: Seagate 160GB SATA
Hard Drive 2: Seagate 160GB IDE
Video Card: ATI 9600SE All-In-Wonder
PSU: ThermalTake 500W
CD-ROM: Memorex 52x / 32x / 52x
DVD-ROM: Sony DVD-ROM / Burner

Setup:

IDE 1:
-Primary: Seagate 160GB (CS)
-Secondary: none
IDE 2:
-Primary: Sony DVD-ROM (CS)
-Secondary: Memorex CD-ROM (CS)

There's more stuff such as a sound card and all that good stuff but this is what I have hooked up to get it to post.

So anyways, I have all of that hooked up. The board only supports up to 1.5GB / Sec transfer rate for the SATA but the Segate SATA drive I have is a 3.0GB / Sec. I used a jumper to limit it down to 1.5GB / Sec like the manual said to do. I can't get this thing to post. I've tried just using 1 hard drive at a time just the SATA and just the IDE one and nothing. I've tried without the CD-ROMs, with just 1 of the CD-ROMs, reseeding the memory, reseeding the video card, taking out the CMOS and putting it back, just everything I can think of. If I start the computer without the memory in I can at least get it to beep a bunch at me for no memory. So I think that means the board is at least alive...but I'm just not sure what to do. Anyone have any suggestions?

Here's a link to our new build troubleshooter. It involves building the system out of the case with the core components. Follow the steps and post back with the results.

Okay, I did everything the guide said. Still fires up and all, just a blank screen though. I changed out the RAM, Video Card, and reseeded the processor. Still that "No Signal Detected" thing that the monitor says by default. BUT I did notice that as soon as it powers on you can hear the monitor like kick in and go black for a second, then back to the "No Signal Detected". I'm kind of thinking a bad processor?

No video showing up? when I had that happen is the power supply, check the powersupply, or get your hands on a cheap one to test with.

Do you have both power connectors plugged into the motherboard?

Have you tried another compatible power supply yet?

No beeps. If I take out the memory I can get it to make a beep sequence and I did that just to make sure the speaker was working.

The power supply is pretty much brand new. A good quality Thermal Take 500W PSU that you plug the cables into individually instead of just having a bunch come out of it. Also, yes I have both power connectors plugged in. I have the same kind of CPU in my personal computer and a similar PSU so I guess I could swap parts and try it but I mine is running great and I really don't feel like taking it apart =/ Is there any way to test the processors integrity? Thanks in advance

Well, I'm going to take my computer apart and try swapping all parts till I can get it to post, I'll put up my results when I'm done. Wish me luck!

Okay. Processor from new build works in my computer, Memory from new build works in my computer, PSU works in my computer, video card works in my computer. But just to be sure I then used my working CPU / PSU / Video Card / Memory in the new build, didn't work. That just leaves the motherboard I guess. Sound about right to everyone?
